"This is still making its impact on management 18 months later. I was stopped by a manager a few days ago, who wanted to let me know that he had been dealing with a situation and was able to correct the behavior/performance issue successfully due to specific skills and examples he acquired in your program." - H.R. Manager, Hitachi Data Systems.

"The best facilitator I have every observed in similar courses over 15 years." - Manager, Orchid BioSciences, Inc.

Description:
California law requires all managers and supervisors to participate in a two-hour training program every two years to prevent illegal sexual and other harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. This online webinar program meets all the requirements of the law (view the bill) in a fun, interesting, and memorable way.

Because the law sets only a bare minimum of acceptable behavior, this program also integrates your organization's policy and procedure prohibiting harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. We bring in your organization's values, as well as the values of the participants, to go beyond the law and begin the process of creating a respectful workplace.

The instructors are seasoned attorneys, experienced trainers and skilled facilitators who use stories and humor to make this potentially dry topic fun, interesting and memorable.

In this 2 hour program, participants learn:

  • The causes of harassment, discrimination and retaliation
  • The legal definition of harassment, discrimination and retaliation
  • Your organization's harassment policy and procedure
  • How to apply the law and policy to specific case examples
  • The manager's duty to prevent harassment
  • The manager's duty upon receiving a complaint Legal and organizational procedures for complaint handling
  • Legal remedies available to victims
  • Guidelines for creating a workplace free of harassment, discrimination and retaliation

Executives, managers, supervisors, and leads.

Course Cost: 125 per person.  A minimum of 10 participants is required.
