Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting
How to Apply Performance & Development Strategies to an Individual’s Unique Needs
The proven Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting Model provides a road map for designing the best leadership strategies to achieve desired outcomes. It teaches people in a leadership role, whether formally or informally, to effectively diagnose and manage performance, abilities, and motivations of others.
Our Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting programs provides managers and supervisors with a complete understanding of Situational Leadership® concepts and use of the model. The course is taught with particular emphasis on hands-on experience at diagnosing situations and practical real-life applications. Participants in our Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting programs discover how to minimize tension and frustration while mastering the skills of encouraging greater confidence, commitment, and motivation in order to achieve personal
milestones, talent management goals and corporate objectives.
In the Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting program, participants learn to.
- Explain the concept of leadership and its importance to effective performance
- Improve employee retention and commitment.
- Increase the leader's and staff's probabilities for success.
- State that the organization invests in the professional development of its leaders.
At the core of the Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting program are three basic modules:
Module 1: Influencing the Performance of Others - The course begins by defining what leadership is: "Leadership is an attempt to influence, and effective leadership is adapting your behavior to the performance needs of the individual or group." The three main components of leadership: diagnosing, adapting and communicating are determined. Being able to identify the task, in each situation, is the first step toward becoming an effective leader.
Module 2: Assessing Criteria for Performance with the task clearly identified, or diagnosed, determining the needs of the individual or group becomes the next step. A person's readiness level is their ability and willingness for the given task. Without knowing this, effectively adapting leadership style becomes impossible.
Module 3: Leader Behavior - This module focuses on two components of leadership style: task and relationship behavior. Use of the LEAD Self instrument assists participants in understanding their primary leadership style and the range of behaviors they tend to act upon. The Situational Leadership® Training and Consulting Model is used to plot out these styles and behaviors in a graphic.
Formal and informal leaders at all levels.
