Corporate Compliance Training / Managing Within the Law Onsite Program

Managing Within the Law:  Part II

Description:

Keep your company out of court and your managers out of jail with this one-day program.  Included are the laws relating to OSHA, workers compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, IRS regulations relating to independent contractors, Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.  Also covered are the laws of corporate ethics including insider trading, antitrust, export control, intellectual property, foreign corrupt practices, government contracting, political activities and financial reporting, many of which are subject to the U. S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines which require prison terms for violations.

Although the program starts with these laws to set the context, the emphasis throughout the day is on the spirit of the law, providing your people with an ethical compass as well as with legal do's and don'ts.  Your company's policies, procedures and values are integrated into the program.

This program can be taken together with, or separately from, Managing Within the Law Part I.

Our attorney-trainers are skilled facilitators with years of experience in the courtroom and the classroom. The program is highly participative with group interaction, small group case studies, video vignettes, skill-building exercises, and plenty of time to ask questions. Participants receive a comprehensive workbook and reference guide they can use again and again.
